Pa gyfnewidiadau bynag Welo'm bywyd ar y llawr, Llwyddiant, ynte neu aflwyddiant, T'wniad haul, neu storom fawr; Enw hyfryd fy Iachawdwr Gaiff ddyfyru'm dydd i maes, Canu ei glod, a chant ryfeddu Nerth ei nefol ddwyfol ras. Y mae meddwl am ei haeddiant, Meddwl am ei gariad pur, Fel rhyw ffynnon o lawenydd, Lawn o ddwfr gloyw, clir; Ef ei hunan yw'm gogoniant, Ef yw'm hymffrost a fy ngrym; Enw pawb o dan yr wybren Ond ei hunan elo'n ddim. Fy holl obaith sy'n ei enw - Enw godidoca'r ne', 'Rwyf yn gwadu ac yn gwrthod Unrhyw noddfa ond efe; Ef yw'm hiachawdwriaeth werthfawr, F'amddiffynfa, a fy Nuw, Ef a'i ras gaiff fod yn sylwedd Fy nghaniadau tra fwyf byw. Mae'i angylion yn cwmpasu Y rhai sy'n aros yn ei glwy', Fe wna i fyny eu hangenion, 'Chaiff fod eisieu arnynt mwy; Fe gyf'rwydda'u holl gerddediad, Ac fe wylia ddydd a nos, Fel na bo na gwae nac ochain I etifeddion gwaed y groes. Mae ei glustiau yn agored I'r gweddíau bob yr un, Ac yn addfwyn ef a gymmer Eu gofalon arno'i hun; Pan bo t'wyllwch ac anobaith Yn amgylchu eu llwybrau o'r bron, Ef ei hun fydd eu harweinydd, Ef a'u cynnal dan bob ton.William Williams 1717-91

Whatever changes My life sees on earth below, Success, or failure, Sunshine, or great storm; The delightful name of my Saviour Shall get to delight me all my day, Singing his praise, and they shall get To wonder at his heavenly divine grace. Thinking about his merit, Thinking about his pure love, Like some fount of joy, Full of bright, clear water; He himself is my glory, He is my boast and my strength; The name of everyone under the sky But himself going to nothing. My whole hope is in him name - The supreme name of heaven, I am denying and refusing Any refuge but him; He is my precious salvation, My defence, and my God, He and his grace shall get to be the substance Of my songs while ever I live. His angels are encompassing Those who abide in his wound, He makes up their needs, They shall have no want any more; He will direct all their course, And he will watch day and night, That there be no woe or groan For the heirs of the blood of the cross. His ears are open To the prayers of every one, And gently he will take Their cares upon himself; When darkness and hopelessness be Surrounding their paths completely, He himself shall be their leader, He shall support them under every wave.tr. 2020 Richard B Gillion |
